Letβs hear it for our incredible musicians! After a rigorous and highly competitive audition process, several East Hamilton students have been selected to represent our school in the Hamilton County Schools (HCS) All-County Honor Bands.
These students have proven their technical skill and dedication, earning a seat among the best players in the district.
π The 2026 Selections
We are proud to recognize these students for their achievement in two distinct, high-level performing groups:
| Honor Band Group | Selected Students |
| All-County Concert Honor Band | Noah Miller, Eli Stalnaker, Emery Crabtree, Travis Evitts, Kobe Delaney, Preston Schwendiman, Julian Sartain |
| All-County Wind Ensemble (Elite) | Ginny Miller, Jayden Jeong, Kaitlyn Oister |
π‘ Why This Matters
Being selected for an All-County ensemble is a major milestone for any student musician.
- The Audition: Students must prepare difficult technical pieces and perform scales and sight-reading in front of judges.
- The Distinction: The Wind Ensemble is considered the “elite” group, typically reserved for the top-scoring students in the entire county.
- The Collaboration: These students will join forces with top players from across Hamilton County to put on a professional-level performance in just a few short days.
Pro-Tip for Aspiring Musicians: Auditioning is a skill in itself! Even if you weren’t selected this year, the process of preparing for an All-County audition builds “muscle memory” and performance confidence that will make you a much stronger player for next season.
Congratulations to these Hurricanes for keeping our music department at the top of its game!
