⚖️ Rules of the Road: Parking Conditions & Policies
By registering a vehicle, students agree to abide by all Hamilton County Department of Education (HCDE) and East Hamilton campus regulations, as excerpted from the Student Handbook:
- Permit Display: Your parking permit must be hung on the rear-view mirror at all times—no exceptions. Vehicles without visible permits are subject to towing at the owner’s expense.
- No Sharing: Permits cannot be borrowed or transferred. They must only be used on the specific vehicle registered with the school.
- Faculty Spaces: No student parking is permitted in staff or faculty-designated spaces at any time.
- No Refunds: In accordance with HCDE policy, parking fees are non-refundable. The school system assumes no liability for loss or vehicle damage.
- Security: Always lock and secure your vehicle upon arrival.
đźš« Ground For Loss of Driving Privileges
Violating campus policies will result in space reassignment, fines, or permanent revocation of your parking privileges without a refund. Watch out for the following infractions:
- Speeding & Reckless Driving: The campus speed limit is strictly 15 mph. This includes entering and exiting school grounds.
- Excessive Attendance Issues: Accumulating five (5) tardies or five (5) unexcused absences can result in loss of privileges as determined by administration.
- Loitering: Entering the parking lot during the school day without explicit permission from the main office is strictly prohibited.
- Insubordination: Refusal to follow the directions of any school official or parking lot monitor.
- Illegal Activity: Conducting or allowing illegal activity in your vehicle will result in permanent permit revocation and immediate disciplinary action.
Let’s keep our parking lots safe, organized, and moving smoothly this year.
