The Alchemist is a classic novel in which a boy named
Santiago embarks on a spiritual journey, seeking treasure
in the Egyptian pyramids after having a recurring dream
about it. On the way he meets mentors, falls in love, and
most importantly, learns the true importance of who he is
and how to improve himself.
Speak centers on a character who gains the strength to
overcome her trauma. The rape she endured troubles
Melinda as she struggles with wanting to repress the
memory of the event, while simultaneously desiring to
speak about it
The Eleventh Plague is a dystopian novel that centers on the aftermath of a war. America's landscape has been ravaged and two-thirds of the population left dead from a vicious strain of influenza. Fifteen-year-old Stephen Quinn and his family were among the few that survived and became salvagers, roaming the county in search of material to trade.
